Inconel 625 Seawater Header Spools for Offshore Shutdown
Our Perth team, led by Mark Davey, recently supplied seawater header spools manufactured from 1200 NB and 900 NB Inconel 625 clad pipe and fittings as part of a critical offshore shutdown programme.
The project required extremely tight dimensional tolerances and comprehensive quality verification, including:
- – Pre- and post-fabrication Ferroxyl testing on all Inconel overlay
- – 100% RT, UT, PT, PMI and FN testing
- – Final assembly fit-up and dimensional survey
- – Hydrostatic testing
- – Surface treatment, packaging and delivery to specification
- – Compilation of a full Manufacturing Data Record (MDR)
Despite complex material and fabrication requirements, the project was completed on time with zero non-conformances, allowing immediate offshore installation. Collaboration with the fabrication team demonstrated how precision planning and technical expertise ensure successful project outcomes.
